Famous monument built by Yusuf Adil Shah is the centrally situated site, The Citadel. It has walls surrounding it and has a large moat located in the centre within its premises. It has a number of structures like palaces, halls and gardens within its enclosures all belonging to the rulers of Adil Shah Dynasty. Out of these structures the more famous ones are Bara Kaman, Jala Manzil, Sat Manzil and the Gagan Mahal . However, most of the structures are decaying, the charm is unmistakable and its surroundings are alluring. Presently, most of the structures houses government buildings.
