Booking advised 01341 281009 ** NEWS! ** NEW LES ROUTIER AWARD FOR BARMOUTH BISTRO Winner in Wales and Welsh Borders of Les Routiers new award, ‘Locally Produced Food Supporters Award Hotel and Restaurant 2004 is, ‘The Bistro, Barmouth in Gwynedd. The Les Routiers describe their new award as, A new regional award to recognise those members who are actively supporting their local food and beverage producers.” The Bistro already had Les Routier Approval 2004 and is a past winner of 'A Taste of Wales / Blas Ar Cymru' approval. The new Les Routiers award was presented to Val and Gordon Brown on Monday 13th September at the Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, London W1. Les Routiers hosted the dinner to announce the Les Routiers 2004 award winners and to launch the Les Routiers Pubs and Inns Guide 2005 and the Les Routiers Hotel and Restaurant Guide 2005. The dinner was kindly sponsored by Champagne Mercier, Hildon Water and Waddesdon Manor - The Rothschild Collection. The award presentation comes as Val and Gordon Brown retire from The Bistro and hand over to the new proprietors, Rosie Heath and Gareth Palmer. They will be maintaining and improving on the standard and success of the Browns. Rosie and Gareth said, We are very pleased to be able to build on the great start made by Val and Gordon Brown. All our dishes are prepared on the premises using fresh local produce whenever possible.”
