The Texas Steakout Restaurant is located in O'Connell Street in the heart of downtown Limerick. The building has housed a restaurant for many years going back to the 1920s and was formally known as the Stella Restaurant. The Texas Steakout was established in 1988 and was originally intended as a novelty for the people of Limerick with its Wild West atmosphere, but quickly aspired to being one of the major tourist attractions of the city. The Texas Steakout uses only the best and freshest local produce from Ireland's waters and land. Menus are prepared fresh daily by award winning chefs and have an extensive selection of wines, from throughout the world, to compliment the food from easy drinking house range through to fine wine list which will satisfy even the most discerning connoisseur.
