About
Community museum relating to the culture and heritage of South Pembrokeshire, including geology, archeology, maritime and social history, natural history and two art galleries. The Story of Tenby exhibition presents a general history of the town and its people from the 10th to the 21st centuries. It takes a broad view of the development of the town from the earliest recorded history to the present day, illustrating key periods with a number of artefacts, documents, photographs and artwork from the museum's collection. In this gallery you can learn of Henry Tudor's escape from the town, see how the Civil war and plague affected the area, learn about the Victorian era of discovery, wonder at how the riders stayed on their Penny Farthing bicycles and find out the identity of the man who invented the equals (=) sign. And if you really feel like it you can spend a short time in our stocks!!
