Templo del Carmen was founded El Carmen most likely around the late sixteenth and early seventeenth century with a convent that belonged to the nuns of the Conception Incarnation. The convent no longer exists and the temple was the victim of a fire that consumed almost entirely indoors, so only the simple façade and distinctive plant in an "L" is appreciated
