The Ted Smout Memorial Bridge is a new bridge in Brisbane, Australia. The bridge is five to six metres above water level - slightly higher than the Houghton Highway - and has been designed to withstand a one in 2000 year storm event. It is considered the longest bridge in Australia and is maintained by the Department of Transport and Main Roads of Queensland Government.
