Tarihi Beşiktaş Lokantısı is a fish restaurant inside the Fish Market of Beşiktaş. It has been around since 1800s. It was initially a Greek Restaurant. It is now owned by Turgut Vidinli, a very famous Turkish man. Mr. Vidinli manages his restaurant in the best manner possible and that is an old-school kind of way (keeping recipes secret and keeping cheaping ingredient out of his kitchen). His Hamsi Kapama (anchovy stewed in a hot and closed pot) abd İskorpit çorbası (a type of fish soup) are legendary.
