The most southern point in mainland Asia comes with other credentials: a clutch of good seafood restaurants and commanding views of the Singapore skyline from across the Johor Straits. The seafood restaurants are perched on wooden jetties surrounded by a rugged and rarefied coastline of unspoilt mangrove forests. For these reasons, plus a breathtaking sunset on a clear evening, Tanjung Piai has remained a popular weekend getaway. Visitors can stay at a resort hotel on stilts, the Tanjung Piai Resort—or check out the Tanjong Piai Agro and Eco Tourism Programmes. There is a small fee to enter the park.
