Taling Bar, Wang Lang Rd (Wang Lang Pier). 17:00-01:00 daily. This is a simple and small chill-out bar with views over the Chao Phraya River. At night, the Grand Palace is beautifully lit. You could take a beer or cocktail at this pub before heading for Khao San Road. It's not that special, but it's a genuine way to get a taste of Thonburi's nightlife. Free fried peanuts are offered, and sometimes there is live music. You can also have dinner in the evening.
