About
Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib is one of the prime attractions of Anandpur Sahib, which is believed to be the birthplace of 'Khalsa'. This Sikh shrine is one of the five holy seats in Sikhism. At this site, Guru Gobind Singh baptised five Sikhs on the eve of Baisakhi. It is situated on Rupnagar-Nangal Road, adjacent to the Darshan Deorh. After Darshan Deorh, a marbled quadrangle leads to the shrine. Twelve weapons have been placed in the central hall, which were once used by Guru Gobind Sing.
