The Syntu Ksiar in Jaintia literally means the Golden Flower and well it definitely is for residents of Jowai town. It is a common picnic spot for most of the locals. Angling and swimming is common. A nice long steel wire suspension bridge spans across the river. A nice water harvesting structure has also been created across the river. Good for a relaxing picnic out of the house.
