Surya temple is located about 2.5 kilometer from the center of jaipur through the red gate of surajpol Bazaar a 200 meter cobbled pathway twists its way up to the small eighteenth century Sun Temple. It has great views of setting sun and jaipur city. It's a main part of Galta Temple Complex and also known as monkey temple. There is a rock climbing route which links the main pink stone buildings of the temple of Galta to Surya Mandir. This temple has its own history and story behind the making of this holy place.
