Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast is a fairly exposed point break that usually has waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the southwest with some shelter here from south winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southeast. Good surf at all stages of the tide.
