Localyte asked me to share the best view on Omis with you. Well, sometimes a joke is usable, the best view on Omis is from the island Brac, from the city Supetar. Jadrolinjia, the Croatian shipping connection with all islands, takes you from Split or Makarska to Supetar, and when doing so on foot, it's a nice and cheap daytrip, taking you up and down. So, if you want to have a nice look at Omis, take that boat, and have a look for yourselve. Sure, if afraid of boattrips (forget the Titanic feeling as there's no icebergs on the Adriatic), you can go to various point around Omis, to look down on Omis. The best one is to drive up to Gata, a marvelous road, giving you a hundred options to take pictures and admire the panoramic view. And if a good swimmer, go to the giant beach of Omis, and start swimming till you have a total view of Omis. To finish, there are many small sloops for rent in Omis, at the Cetina borders. You can step onto a large sloop motoring you up and down the river, also you can rant a smaller private sloop, to do it in your own speed and free as a pirate. First of all to discover the Cetina gorge, towards Radmanova Mlinice or Restaurant Slanica. And if the weather is nice and totally calm, you might sail under the bridge (forbidden but hey...), and pop out to have a quick look outside. BE CAREFULL HOWEVER (river rises and falls under that bridge and the river floods violently) !!!!
