The trekking routes starting from Suntaklekhola go to several exotic places around the National Park. The trekking points like Tree Fern Point and Mo give breathtaking views of Himalayas on one side, and mountains of the Dooars with tea gardens on the other side. From this point, one can even see hills in Bhutan and the ancient pass that connected India and Tibet. Suntalekhola shelters a large number of birds of different varieties; Bird watching is a major activity here. Some of the common birds are Pond Heron, Black Eagle, Hill Patridge, Red-Vented Bulbul, Ashy Wood Pigeons, Bronzed Drongo, White-Throated Fantail, and Scarlet Minivet and so on.
