Sukhayap or Lover's Paradise
Kiphire, Nagaland, India
About
Northward of the Mimi village has a cliff (rock) where even wild animals do not exist. Shelters for wild animals are not possible, because of the steep nature of the cliff. Only men can hardly climb up with the help of ladder for site seeing and can even shelter there. Residents of the area called this place as 'LOVER'S PARADISE'. As it has significance, were young lovers, a boy and a girl, climb up to the cliff and died there. They died there when their parents refuse them to get married. Only after a couple of years villagers came to know the two lovers died there, after recovering their various valuable ornaments worn by them and their bones.
