About
Sujanpur Fort was constructed by Rajah Abhaya Chand of Kangra in 1758. Located on the banks of River Beas, this fort is famous among travellers due to its beautiful paintings. The forts possess a huge ground, where the annual Holi festival is celebrated for a period of 3 to 4 days. In the early 19th century, it was the home of Rajah Sansar Chand, who was the King of Kangra and patron of the Pahari School of miniature paintings.
