For its cheesy mid-'80s ambience, Stefano's has no match. Its restaurant and disco share the same strobe-lit atmosphere. Food is traditional and reliable, if a little pricey. You'll find an older country-club crowd here in the evenings, enjoying steaks, pastas, and seafood. Among the best entrees are the flavorful risotto frutti di mare (saffron risotto with shrimp, clams, mussels, and calamari) and the very cheesy lasagna. After 7:30pm, the band starts playing American pop and Latin favorites. Some nights you feel as if you've accidentally happened upon your long-lost cousin's wedding, as you watch the parade of taffeta dresses and tipsy uncles.
