Nicknamed the "Big Owe" in reference to both its shape and cost, Montréal's controversial Olympic Stadium is the world's tallest inclined tower. It was built as the heart of the Olympic Village for the 1976 Games and wasn't fully paid off until 2006. Its triangular base supports A 175m (574-ft.) inclined tower, which leans at a 45-degree angle and does duty as an observation deck. The complex also includes as sports stadium used for events and rock concerts as well as five Olympic-sized swimming pools. On a clear day you can you'll get an expansive view of the city and see up into the Laurentian Mountains. The Montreal Botanical Gardens and Biosphere are within walking distance so you can easily visit all three in one day.
