St Anne's Church

St Anne's Church, which stands as a symbol of Coorg's secular tradition, was built in 1792. The architecture of this church is in the European and Gothic styles, with copper roof, decorated interiors and statues from the Bible.

This church was constructed under the supervision of Father Gullivan. It was completely destroyed in 1811 and was reconstructed in 1868. One of the most attractive features of this church is its 180 feet high steeple, which resembles a giant candle.
