Queuing for a meal on a weekend is sometimes worthwhile due to the food that the restaurant serves. Spicy Joint is probably one of the most famous Sichuan style restaurants in Shanghai, not only because of its big wall aquarium but also the wide selection of yummy dishes. Unlike most of the other Sichuan cuisine, the food here isn't really that spicy and hot, but more aromatic. The popular house specialty, Shui Zhu Yu or the Boiled Fish, is tiny slices of fish filet in a chili bouillabaisse, flavored with an exotic palette of spices, and is always unforgettable. – Tang Yun Jun
