The only self-contained mall with a supermarket within the "four avenues," which define the central city, the South City Centre, is often a very busy place. Amongst the approximately 50 stores, there is a range of the popular chain stores, dominated by the Warehouse and a New World supermarket. But there are some independent businesses as well. For a taste of local seafood, head for the excellent open-plan fishmongers. Anyone shopping with children under the age of six will appreciate the fenced adventure playground located near the food court. There are different timings for shops, the Warehouse and The New World so do refer to the website for open hours.
