Adventurous Concepts is hosting a race dubbed The Big Scramble to benefit the Alzheimer's Association on Sat., Feb. 12, 2011, in South Beach. If you’re looking to have a good time for a good cause, this urban charity race has your name on it.
Just form a team of two, three or four, with friends, family, or coworkers. You don’t need to be an athlete, either. Together, your team will develop race strategy, plan your route, and make key decisions. The team that figures out clues, arrives at the designated locations, completes required tasks and crosses the finish line most quickly wins. The powers-that-be estimate the course will take between 1.5 - 4 hours to complete.
Additional tidbits from the website reveal that the location of the race is top secret for now, and that all they can disclose at the moment is that it will be in South Beach. It also says that if you want to dress up in a costume to express yourself or just add color to the festivities, go ahead.
