One of the best, ancient and famous Souq in Oman, good for turists. You can find all kinds of stuff here like cloths, jewelry, perfumes, antiques, etc.... Muttrah Souq (market) is the main traditional souq and is a great place to stroll and window shop for 23 carat gold jewelery or select a souvenir of your holiday in Muscat in one of the shops selling old Omani silver and Khanjars (Omani daggers). In the evening many residents of Muscat take their daily walk along the picturesque corniche near the souq.
