  • Experiences cold winters - (Octuber - Feb)- If snow and snow sports are of interest to you then visit Shimla in January or February as at this time you are sure to get a good carpet of snow. It is great to sit before a log fire in the evenings and warm yourselves! There is also a festive spirit in the air during December and many tourists visit just to get a touch and feel of the snow.if you love adventure sports like skiing and ice-skating do not miss to visit in this duration.
  • Summer months (April - June )- The best time to visit Shimla is preferably between summer and autumn. May to June in Shimla is said to be the peak season and hence maximum number of tourists flock to the hill station during this time
  • Monsoon (from July (which lasts till September) - it is recommended not to travel to this hill station during monsoons. Shimla is known for its unpredictable rains so don’t forget to always carry an umbrella with you.
