Shaped like a footprint, Shilloi Lake is located about 300 km from Kohima. Nestled among beautiful low hills, this lake was previously the centre of superstition and taboos. Now, however, the people use the lake for its water and angling.This water body covers an area of 250-300 sq m. Interestingly, Shilloi Lake is in the shape of a footprint and is the home of many migratory birds and also to a variety of fishes.
