The Tom Fazio-designed course winds through the canyon, around the bends and folds of the hills, following the natural change of the elevation, passing rock outcroppings, stands of sycamores and creek beds. According to architect Tom Fazio, "The ultimate goal is to have it appear as if nothing has been done, that the layout is completely natural.
