This is a good option for families who want to interest their kids in Kenmare Bay -- aboard a 15m (49-ft.) covered boat. The 2-hour cruise covers 16km (10 miles) and is narrated by guides well versed in local history and wildlife, including dolphins, sea otters, and gray seals who frolic nearby. Boats depart from the pier next to the Kenmare suspension bridge. The family ticket includes coffee, tea, cookies, orange juice for the kids, and a drink of rum for the adults. From May to October, as many as four cruises may depart daily, depending on demand. Reservations are recommended.
