Schiller Monument
Front Of Konzerthaus
About
In 1871, the Schiller Monument was built in the center of the square. It was a creative vision of the famous architect of Berlin, Reinhold Begues, who had designed many other world famous monuments. Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller was a German poet, philosopher, historian, and dramatist. He was looked up by the Berlin people. This classic-style monument stands in front of the Schinkel's Theatre, now called as Konzerthaus.
