The Teatr Zależny theatre is located in the 16th century cellars of a historical burgher's house at 1 Kanonicza Street and belongs to the Tadeusz Kościuszko Technical University in Krakow. A small stage and auditorium seating 90, it was founded in December 1995 and hosts a varied repertoire including theatrical performances, workshops and performances of poetry. The theatre's programme is published in the cultural periodicals 'This Month in Krakow' and 'Karnet', in the daily newspapers, and on the Internet. In October 2001, TEATR ZALEŻNY signed a cooperation agreement with the Association of Non-Institutional Theatres STeN. Repertory performances by non-institutional theatres take place on a regular basis: Thurs. - Sun. evenings (7.00 p.m. or 8.00 p.m.).
