Sankatha temple was made in the memory of sankata devi that was celebrated at the 8th day of navrata. The meaning of sankatha is protection so sankatha devi refers as the natural power against danger. Mata durga devi was the nine sister's that is main reason of nine days navrata festival during which do fast means doesn't eat whole day and have the salt free foodstuff in the evening after the mata aarti.
