Sanjay Gandhi National Park  (SGNP), previously  Borivali National Park ,  is a large  protected area  in the northern part of suburban Mumbai  city in  Maharashtra  State in  India .  Surrounded on three sides by this bustling city, it receives 2 million visitors per year, making it one of Asia's most popular National Parks. An information centre with a small exhibition on the park's wildlife is located in the main area. Visit the tiger orientation centre to partake in the lion and tiger safari.
