Sandbridge Beach
About
Sandbridge Beach is in the southern part of the city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA. The length of the beach is about 4.5 miles (7.2 kilometres) North to South. Its location is like that of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, with the Back Bay of the Currituck Sound to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Because of this, it is often referred to as "The Outer Banks of Virginia". Similar to North Carolina's Outer Banks, Sandbridge Beach is occasionally prone to tropical storms, which can result in mandatory evacuations.
