Sahyadris (Western region in India-Maharastra) Lion. The second Chatrapati (King) of Maharashtra, who laid his life to protect dharma-religion and the Maratha empire. He was tortured to death by Aurangazeb (Mugal Emperor) in 11 March, 1689. He was the greatest King who never lost any single war. He was a scholar poet, intelligent inventor and hard core Maratha. After his death entire Maharashtra got the spirit to fight against invaders and thus Maratha ruled almost entire India and beyond. --- Maanacha Mujara Raje.
