Samarkand specializes in Mughlai  authentic Tandoori kebabs. But the curries are run-of-the-mill. The Chilli Chicken Chinese and the Fish 'n' Chips firangi fare is entirely avoidable. You could try the succulent Tangri Kebab and Reshmi Kebab. Fish Tikka and Tandoori Prawns are passable, but Bhuna Gosht, Murgh Makhni, Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadhai Chicken, Handi Gosht and Mutton Rogan Josh meet the usual standards. Vegetarians could try Dal Makhni, Kadhai Paneer, Veg Sizzlers and Navratan Korma.
