Salomon Bagels

Joachimstaler Straße 13 Cuisines: American

About

Bagels aren't just rolls with a hole in the middle - they are a philosophy and they are becoming increasingly popular in Berlin. The complicated ritual for making bagels stems from strict Jewish rules as to what one can and cannot eat on the Sabbath. One of Berlin's first bagel shops was Salomon's Bagels next-door to the Jewish bookshop in busy Joachimstalerstraße. When you enter the shop, you will immediately forget the chaos of the city outside and you can dig into a fresh bagel topped with cream cheese or humus.
