Its is the smallest park in kenya with an area of only 2.9 kilometres square.The park comprises riverine vegetation and swamps.The park was established to protect the endangered semi aquatic sitatunga antelope whose population is very small.The other wildlife found here includes, otters,genet,serval cats,collobus monkeys and baboons.It also habours more than 370 bird species.Major activities here include gameviewing especially sitatunga and camping.There are no major accommondation here but campsites are available.Contacts-warden saiwapark@kws.go.ke,box 4506 kipsaina kitale.
