Theis restaurant takes its name from the fact that it is housed in an ancient desecrated church that has stood on the same site for centuries. A fairly up-market restaurant located near the Quirinale and Fontana di Trevi, Sacro & Profano features Calabrese-style cuisine characterized by its strong Mediterranean flavors. Fish, tuna and swordfish are specialties. The pizza Calabrese, thicker than usual pizza, is worth of special mention: it is cooked in a wood-fired oven with strictly traditional ingredients.
