Sachiya Mata Temple of Osian is situated on a hill, to the north-east of the Mahavira Temple. The temple, also called Shri Osiya Mataji, is believed to be built in 1178 AD. This temple was built by Upaldev, who was the brother of Raja Punj, the son of King 'Bheemsain.' This 12th century temple is built at the place of the old temple which was made in 8th century by Parmar King Upendre. The temple of Sachiya Mata is dedicated to Goddess Sachi Mata (wife of Lord Indra) and is equally important for Hindu and Jain people. Featuring Jain architecture, the temple is important to the Bafna Clan of Jains, who prefer to conduct their 'Mundan-Sanskar' in the Sachiya Mata Temple. The Nagas of Osian, dwelling in the surrounding area, even after their conversion into Jainism, worship Sachiya Mata. Goddess Sachiya Mata is also worshiped by the Oswal Jains.
