Round House Inn Restaurant & Bar

Bathsheba, St. Joseph

About

Built in 1832, this restaurant lies on sloping, grass-covered lawns punctuated with solid, coral-stone retaining walls. The owners, Robert and Gail Manley, usher you to a table perched atop a rocky ledge opening onto the Bathsheba "Soup Bowl," the best surfing beach, only a half-hour drive from Bridgetown. The freshest of ingredients go into the wholesome food, which is made all the more delightful by a reggae band on Saturday nights or a guitarist on Sundays. Tuck into such appetizers as flying fish pâté or brie baked in a light-rum-and-walnut sauce. For your main course, try either the oven-baked dolphin steak or the blackened catch of the day.
