Bright and modern (though it has been here for over 50 years), this showcase of Venetian-style fast food tries to be everything: bar, cafe, rosticceria, and tavola calda (hot foods deli) on the ground floor and a pizzeria upstairs. A variety of sandwiches and pastries beckons from a downstairs display counter, and another offers prepared foods (eggplant parmigiana, roast chicken, pasta e fagioli, lasagna) that'll be reheated when ordered; there are also a dozen pasta choices. A number of combination salads are a welcome concession to the American set and are freshest and most varied for lunch. This won't be your most memorable meal in Venice, but you won't walk away hungry or broke.
