Named after the harbor that flows next to the city's east wall, which is just outside its front door, Fosa has the best location of any restaurant in Zadar. When you enter, skip the inside dining room and go straight to the terrace, which opens to the sea. By day your table is the best place to catch a cool breeze, and by night you'll have an unobstructed view of the water and the city lights. Fosa is a local favorite for its well-prepared fish dishes. There are other choices, too, like the omelet with smoked ham.
