Restaurante Cervejaria Ribadouro

Avenida da Liberdade 155 Cuisines: Seafood

About

This well-known restaurant has been serving seafood since 1947 and remains a favourite culinary hotspot for those who appreciate fresh fish and seafood dishes done to a turn and served with aplomb. Its position near a number of theatres means Ribadouro is a preferred late night venue for audiences seeking an after-show meal, and the place can fill up quickly after the curtain's down. The seafood choice is incredible – the petiscos (nibbles) alone number plates of garlic prawns or clams in olive oil, coriander and garlic sauce – garlic is big here – and numerous other suggestions. Jumbo shrimp, Algarve prawn, tiger shrimp, oyster, king crab, crayfish and, interestingly, Cuban lobster, all grace the menu. Note that prices are quoted in kilos so do the math before ordering otherwise the bill may cause indigestion. Fish dishes include the house special bacalhau à brás – strips of tender grilled codfish mixed with onion, egg, parsley and matchstick potato. © NileGuide 2011 It has been serving Lisbon's finest seafood dishes for over 60 years, accompaied by excellent beer and attentive service. The menu also offers a host of classic Portuguese dishes. Typical dishes include the Bacalhau a Bras, the Ribadouro steak and spectacular seafood
