AOC stands for Aarø & Co, after the restaurant's team of sommelier extraordinaire Christian Aarø and two young star chefs, Ronny Embrog and Michael Munk. Located in the atmospheric 17th century vaulted cellar of Moltkes Palace (part of the group of palaces that includes Amalienborg Palace), this exclusive gourmet restaurant promises a 'sensory culinary experience' based on a modern interpretation of classic Danish cuisine. It's not cheap, but you wouldn't expect it to be - AOC earned its first Michelin star less than one year after opening, in spring 2010.
