Ratchadamnoen Avenue
Ratchadamnoen AvenueAbout
Ratchadamnoen Avenue runs through the heart of old Bangkok, and is home to historic monuments, beautiful gardens and park lands and an ensemble of plush eateries, cafes, and shops. One of the most famous roads of the city, Ratchadamnoen Avenue is a landmark in itself. It leads to the Democracy Monument, while connecting the Grand Palace to the Dusit Palace. On one corner of the street is tucked away an old fort, dating back to the 18th century. Handsome temples, elegant art galleries, government high-rises, and secluded street-side benches complete Ratchadamnoen Avenue. It is truly a delightful experience to walk down this historic street.
