About
The Ranakpur Jain Temple was built during the reign of the liberal and gifted Rajput monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century, in the AD 1439. . The most delicately designed temples in Rajasthan are the examples of the great revolution in architectural design from the 8th to the 11th century. The temple architecture of this state includes plastic ornamentations which consist of curvaceous feminine forms and motifs of foliation. These depict the likeness towards nature and aesthetics. The wonderful masterpieces on stone speak immensely of the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans of Rajasthan.
