Great place to visit with your family and/friends. One can not but marvel at the biodiversity of this place. right at the entrance one is greeted by herds of spotted deer. Deeper into the forest one comes accross herds of elephants grazing peacefully. one can even see them frolicking in the water. The Sambar deer and swamp deer are also spotted most of the time, not to mention the rhesus monkeys and white faced Macaques with their long lion tails. The birds are amazing. One can see the peacocks dancing with their tails spread out in great splendour. One can see both the blue as well as the green variety. The Kaleej pheasant, the great Indian Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Serpant eagle and the bar tailed Eagle are also spotted easily. The safari into the park from the Chilla gate takes a good four hours and it really is a great experience!
