The spotlight shines on Mallow each Easter as the Racing Home for Easter Festival brings family fun and excellent sporting activities to the fore. The entire event centres on three days of racing action at the traditional Easter meeting at Cork Racecourse Mallow, which gets underway on Easter Saturday. Easter Sunday sees a highly competitive Best Dressed Lady and Gent Competition with celebrity judges, while the attention switches to point to point winners action on Easter Monday.Everyone is kept entertained with jugglers, acrobats, bouncing castles, bucking broncos, a carousel and much more. Grab a taste of North Cork and further afield with the local food and craft fair with over 60 stalls showcasing the best of local produce. Why not give the kids a real experience with a trip to the mobile pet farm or enjoy the local talent on display with live staged music actsThe 10K family fun cycle is the healthy feature on Easter Monday, with over 300 parents and kids taking part. There is a strong emphasis on the cultural element too, with scheduled walks and talks on the history of Mallow Castle, and a workshop on the Castle's famous White Deer.
