R&R Sport opened in 1981 in Dunedin as Recycled Recreation, a store specialising in second hand sports gear. My how we have changed! There are now nine stores nationwide Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Nelson, Kaikoura, Dunedin, Queenstown, and two stores in Christchurch. As the market changed so did the shops with a name change in 1990 to R&R Sport to reflect the fact that ninety-five percent our product is new gear. We added our online service via the website in 2001, with a major overhaul and upgrade in late 2008.
