The Quaid-i-Azam University (Urdu: جامعہ قائداعظم‎) is a public, research university in Islamabad Capital Territory of Pakistan. It offers undergraduate, graduate and post graduate degrees. It is located over an area of 1700 acres below the Margalla Hills.It was founded as the University of Islamabad in July 1967. The university is rated as the top public institution of higher education in Pakistan. It is ranked as the best university overall Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.[2] The alumni of the university are called Quadian and the slogan used by the students of Quaid-i-Azam University is Quaidian Once - Quaidian Forever.
